What we collect
When you submit the intake form we collect your name, phone number, email address, the category of your matter, and whatever you choose to tell us in the message field. The newsletter form collects only your email address. We do not collect payment details, government identifiers, or documents at this stage.
Why we collect it
For one purpose: to review your enquiry and, where you ask us to, introduce you to independently enrolled advocates or partner professionals suited to your matter. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use intake details for advertising.
Who sees it
Your intake is visible to the JustDivorce.in intake team, and to the advocate(s) you expressly choose to consult — never before. Infrastructure providers (hosting and email delivery) process data on our instructions as data processors.
Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, and erasure of your data where we no longer need it. You may withdraw newsletter consent at any time using the unsubscribe link or by writing to us. Requests can be made through the contact form and are answered within 30 days.
Retention
Intake enquiries are retained while your matter is active and for 24 months after the last contact, then deleted. Newsletter emails are retained until you unsubscribe.
Grievances
Concerns about how your data is handled can be raised through the complaints page. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once operational grievance channels are notified.
